The Dharavi Dream Project is a hip-hop movement that started as an idea for under-resourced kids in Dharavi- Asia’s largest slum, to have free and easy access to the “After school of hip-hop”. Values derived from this artform empowers them to share thoughts and express themselves through music, dance and graphics openly.
Dolly Rateshwar, Co-Founder at The Dharavi Dream Project says, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Sooper Dooper Kids, a brand that shares our commitment to empowering youth through creativity. Their generous support in providing T-shirts for our cast not only enhances the visual identity of ‘Dharavi Dreams’ but also reinforces the message that together, we can uplift and inspire the next generation. This partnership exemplifies how community and creativity can come together to create something truly impactful.”
Nevil Darukhanawala, Founder Sooper Dooper Kids, believes that music heals, and by partnering with the unique project, he believes it will empower talented children to help them follow their passion, He says, “We designed a custom hip hop collection for the event. It was amazing to see all the kids -.dancers, cast and volunteers wearing Sooper Dooper Kids Tshirts”.
“We feel honoured to be a part of the Hip Hop Musical Theatre Production” says Her Highness Sheikha Arwa Al Qassimi of Sharjah (who invested in the vision behind Sooper Dooper Kids). She was elated by the impact of the partnership as well. She says, “The Dharavi Dream Project was initiated to discover, nurture and promote the Hip Hop talent from Asia’s largest slum- Dharavi and educate the youth through the power of music and dance”.
Sooper Dooper Kids is a clothing brand with a difference. The brand believes that fashion is more than just the clothes we wear. It’s about the values we carry and the impact we make. Fashion has always meant to be a statement- of your mood, personality, and attitude. Sooper Dooper Kids is not just about selling kids’ clothes but about setting an example for children to know the importance of kindness, inclusivity, and giving back, and their ‘One Purchased is One Donated’ initiative is a testament to this commitment.
